One of the main attractions to this well known London Street is the fantastic shopping! Regent Street intersects Oxford Street and extends this busy shopping area towards Piccadilly Circus. It also forms the dividing line between the ritzy Mayfair to the west and the trendier Soho to the East.
It forms part of many bus routes through central London and the well known double decker red busses add to the quintessential London-feel of this road. The main shopping area can be found from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly Circus, where underground stations can be found.
Walking down this impressive and rather stately looking street, where every building is protected as a listed building, is one of London’s “must do’s”! The shops on either side are impressive with many of the world’s finest labels hosted here. Regent Street is home to London’s most famous toyshop, Hamleys, as well as Europe’s first Apple retail store which was opened in 2004. Liberty and Banana Republic are two more well known shops on Regent Street with the hyped American brand Abercrombie & Fitch, which feels almost nightclub like with its model-like shop assistants and loud music, found just off the main drag (7 Burlington Gardens).
Opening times: Most shops are open from 10am – 7pm Monday to Saturday, 12pm – 6pm Sundays and late night shopping on Thursdays (8pm).
