Camden market, situated in North London, is a never ending tapestry of entertainment. These markets are now the fourth most visited tourist attraction in London and attract around 500,000, tourists and Londoners alike, each week. The market comprises five busy open-air and indoor markets, each with its very own unique flavour: Camden Lock Market, Camden Stables Market, Camden Canal Market, Inverness Street Market and Camden (Buck Street) Market.

Today there are a variety of designer workshops, studios, stalls, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars all selling an array of individual products from designer clothing, one off pieces of art, to international food.

Camden Market used to be a weekend-only affair, but due to huge demand and the popularity of the markets, most of the stalls are now open 7 days a week. By coming on a week day you do miss the crowds, but a few of the stalls may not be open. Please do take note that due to the sheer volume of crowds visiting the markets, Camden Town tube station is available only to incoming passengers on Sunday afternoons to prevent dangerous overcrowding of the platforms. A sensible alternative is to alight at Chalk Farm, which is close to the markets. Alternatively, why not take a walk along the pretty canal towpath from Regent’s Park, which will also take you into the middle of the markets.
